Mountain Adjara day trip
Half a day and you're in a different Georgia: waterfalls, 12th-century stone bridges and a family winery pouring what shops never see.
The route climbs the Adjaristsqali gorge: a stop at Makhuntseti waterfall, a walk across Queen Tamar's arch bridge, then lunch at a family winery with tsolikouri, chkhaveri and homemade chacha. Viewpoints along the way show the subtropics fading into mountains.
Our partner drives small groups and knows when the waterfall is free of bus tours. Guides speak English and Russian; vegetarian lunch on request.
